SlaveFree City is not an autonomous organization, rather a network of individuals, non-profits, and organizations gathered around the mission of fighting slavery in Central Texas and connecting our work to an international project while creating a model that is reproducible in other major U.S. Cities.

We are committed to ending slavery locally and abroad and creating a model that is reproducible in other major cities throughout the U.S. To accomplish this we believe we must respond to human trafficking through a four-tier approach: collaboration, advocacy, prevention, and restoration.

We have a very disturbing reality facing us today. Even though we have the 13th Amendment, we still have over 27 million slaves on earth today. The truth is from your city to my city, from Ukraine to Thailand, Mexico and beyond, slavery is alive and thriving in every corner of our world. This is our reality; slavery has not been abolished.
